Advice on letting your property
David and Julie bring a wealth of experience to their role as LBV property managers in this area. David was born in Leeds, originally qualifying as a chef and later worked in hotel management. Being involved in the hospitality industry allowed him to explore the world - he spent four years in Bermuda at one stage. At the end of his career in the UK he went into further education and worked as a tutor, and then as curriculum manager for the third largest college in the UK.
Julie was also born in Leeds, also trained as a chef and then went into industrial catering in hospitals. Since their marriage they have renovated a number of properties - David qualified as a cabinet maker at evening class to ensure that there was nothing amateur about their DIY! Through taking students over to France for placements in restaurants, their love of France turned to a determination to come and live here full-time.
They discovered Les Bons Voisins and realised that the LBV network provided the support mechanism they required. So, whether you want some DIY tasks undertaken at your French home or lessons in making the perfect Eggs Benedict, call on David and Julie now!
What their clients say...
"We contacted David and Julie when we were let down by our previous unreliable maintenance man. David was very quick to respond and gave me confidence that he could handle the many varied needs that our old house might have. He made time to visit our house and solve the immediate issue we had and liaised with our guests to reassure them the problem was in hand. He then sent us a detailed email and photos explaining the work he had done.
"David took on the regular and emergency maintenance of our house and has done a great job. He communicates regularly with us, sending emails and photos describing the work he has done. His assistancehas been invaluable and I would not hesitate to recommend him to other property owners in the Dordogne." ~ Andy Wolstenholme
"Julie and David from LBV have been key-holders for my property in France since January 2015. They conduct monthly security checks and report back to me on the condition of the property each time, complete with photographs, when necessary. They are very proactive in suggesting security improvements and when noticing any problems. They are extremely helpful when I need to liaise with local utility companies or craftspeople and they're great at problem solving. I visit my property infrequently and Julie and David's services have taken a real weight off my mind."
